How to Use Your NDIS Funding for Counselling with Mollie at Jala Yoga & Counselling

Navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can feel overwhelming—especially when it comes to understanding what supports you're eligible for and how to actually use your funding. At Jala Yoga®, I’m here to make the process simple and supportive—especially if you’re seeking counselling that’s trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and tailored to your mental health needs.

Here’s how you can access counselling with me using your NDIS funding.

Who Is This Counselling For?

I work with NDIS participants aged 16+, including neurodivergent women and individuals navigating:

  • Psychosocial disability

  • Anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma

  • ADHD and sensory sensitivities

  • Grief, loss & life transitions

  • Identity, burnout, emotional overwhelm

  • Chronic illness or functional neurological disorders

All sessions are strengths-based, person-centred, and evidence-informed. I integrate a neuro-friendly approach to mindfulness, yoga therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive & Behavioural Therapy, somatic practices, and more—tailored to your needs.

Can You Use NDIS for Counselling?

Yes! If you’re self-managed or plan-managed, you can absolutely use your NDIS funding to access counselling with me. Jala Yoga & Counselling is an NDIS Registered business (Registration ID: 4-K6DBMS3)

Counselling is often claimed under Improved Daily Living or Capacity Building – Therapeutic Supports.

If you’re not sure if counselling is included in your plan, speak with your Support Coordinator or Plan Manager—or reach out to me and I can help you check.

What Makes My Counselling NDIS-Aligned?

My sessions are designed to support:

  • Emotional regulation

  • Social and communication skills

  • Self-agency and confidence

  • Coping strategies for daily life

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Improved mental health outcomes

As a trauma-informed counsellor and senior yoga therapist, I understand the importance of creating safe, non-judgmental spaces where you can show up just as you are.

What Does a Session Look Like?

Each session is tailored to your goals and needs. It may include:

  • Talk therapy

  • Mindfulness or meditation practices

  • Breathwork or grounding tools

  • Somatic exploration

  • Movement (yoga-based or seated)

You don’t need to be “into yoga” or flexible. We’ll work in a way that feels right for your body, your brain, and your energy levels on the day.

Sessions are available in person at Medical on Robina or online across Australia.
